Getting to Know Me

 

Halo, nama saya Crystalyn Mae T. Bundoc, a 21-year-old from Brgy. Lubong, San Vicente, Ilocos Sur, Philippines. I am a fourth-year college student at the University of Northern Philippines, Tamag, Vigan City, Ilocos Sur, under the College of Teacher Education, pursuing a Bachelor of Elementary Education.

I am one of the SEA Teacher Program Batch 11 participants from my university, and I was assigned to Universitas Negeri Malang (UM) in Indonesia, where I conducted my practicum at SD Laboratorium. This international teaching experience allowed me to immerse myself in a new educational environment, adapt to different teaching methods, and engage with students and teachers from a different cultural context.

Through this blog, I hope to share my reflections on classroom experiences, cross-cultural learning, and the personal and professional growth I gained while teaching in Indonesia. Each story highlights not only the challenges of being a future educator but also the lessons learned from embracing diversity, building meaningful connections, and understanding education as a bridge across cultures.

I hope this inspires fellow pre-service teachers, students, and anyone interested in international teaching experiences and cross-cultural learning.
